Katie Miller, LMT
Owner, Licensed Massage Therapist
A passion for the healing arts captivated Katie's spirit from a young age. Her love of helping people through massage therapy manifested as a life-long career in the state of Maine, until moving west in 2013. Katie's initial massage therapy training was earned in 1999 through the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts, School of Massage Therapy (NHITA). The training at NHITA included a rich focus on neuromuscular massage therapy, trigger point therapies, sports massage, kinesiology, and Swedish massage. Several methods by Leon Chaitow, Janet Travell and other leaders in manual therapies and soft tissue dysfunction/ correction where utilized in training, and these methods are lived and breathed in Katie's bodywork. In addition to massage licensure, a BS in community health education inspired a unique focus on quality massage treatments as a health care protocol. Over the years, Katie's recognized the demand for quality massage, in which so many people seek. Thus, we provide our community with a space where people know that they will receive great massage. This is where health + healing, prehab + rehab through soft tissue manipulation, reducing myofascial pain patterns, and freeing of body restrictions takes place. We want to feel benefits from massage, to acquire relief from pain patterns, heal from injury...to feel better. We all want to receive a massage that works; and our practice confidently recommends treatments from any of our massage therapists here at PHM.
